OUR STORY
|
The Geelong Off Road Buggy Association (GORBA) is a Not-For-Profit organisation, established in July 1977.
We pride ourselves on family involvement, competitive and social friendship, vehicle preparation and racing opportunities. GORBA hosts and conducts events at the Avalon Short Course Track and at our longer track at Moyston, near Ararat. The Club holds it's own Club Championship which determines the most successful GORBA racer over the year based on club events. We also support other Events, clubs and championships. GORBA also offers social events and welcomes all levels of members, from a non-competitive Social Membership, to Junior, Single or Family Memberships. |
What is off road racing?
Off Road Racing is a form of timed competitive motorsport in either production or custom made vehicles driving over a variety of surfaces (made and unmade), with or without assisted navigation, over a variety of race lengths. The main emphasis is on car control, race preparation and driving skill. Speed is unrestricted.
